Description
Named after an infamous bohemian private members club opened in London in 1874 just a year before Cole & Son was founded the collection evokes the glamorous and poetic era of the 18th & 19th century. Each of the nine designs references a cultural icon or gem of the time.
Creative Director, Shauna Dennison comments, we selected a series of traditional damask prints from our vast archive, adapting the designs and colours and experimenting with different printing techniques to create a modern feel. The result is an elegant collection ideal for both heritage and contemporary settings; the creativity of Albemarle is a homage to the rich artistic period from which it is inspired.
Aldwych
An updated rococo style design from the archives, named after the famous London crescent and theatre. Features elaborate leafy scrolls and is printed using highlights of textured glitter in dramatic charcoals, golds, crimson, jade and ultramarine. Available in six colourways.
