Named after an infamous bohemian private members club opened in London in 1874 just a year before Cole & Son was founded the collection evokes the glamorous and poetic era of the 18th & 19th century. Each of the nine designs references a cultural icon or gem of the time.
Creative Director, Shauna Dennison comments, we selected a series of traditional damask prints from our vast archive, adapting the designs and colours and experimenting with different printing techniques to create a modern feel. The result is an elegant collection ideal for both heritage and contemporary settings; the creativity of Albemarle is a homage to the rich artistic period from which it is inspired.
A modern twist on the trend for antique decorative glass, using ornamental elements from the archives to create a bevelled mirror design. Printed on a foil backing, this design comes in six subtle reflective shades of aged silvers, rusted bronze, faded blues and amethyst.
